Book Review: I ❤️ Robot
So here goes.....My FIRST ever book review........
Wow! Wow! Wow!
What an absolutely fantastic read this was! I could not put this book down!
So here is what the story is all about:
“Sixteen-year-old Tyri wants to be a musician and longs to be with someone who gets her musical aspirations. Q-I-99, aka 'Quinn,' lives in a scrap metal sanctuary with other rogue droids. While some use violence to make their voices heard, demanding equal rights for AI-enhanced robots, Quinn just wants a moment on stage with his violin to show the humans that androids like him have more to offer than their processing power. Tyri and Quinn's worlds collide when they're accepted by the Baldur Junior Philharmonic Orchestra. As the rift between robots and humans deepens, Tyri and Quinn's love of music draws them closer together, forcing Tyri to question where her loyalties lie and Quinn to question his place in the world. My thoughts on the book:
The story was well written. Suzanne van Rooyen does not waste time hammering on the story. The story just happens, which makes you want to turn the page and keep on reading.
I feel that much thought went into the characters, to give them some depth. A lot of thought went into their story.
When I read books, I always find myself feeling like I an part of the story. I had the exact same feeling while reading I Heart Robot. I had absolutely no problem being hooked on Tyri and Quinn’s story.
I must admit, I have shed a few tears while reading the book (why, you will have to find out for yourself), just because of the fantastic way in which the book was written.
I must admit though, I really feel like there should have been a bit more to the closing chapter. I felt it ended a bit abruptly, but I enjoyed the book none the less.
This book was such an enjoyable read, and I would definitely encourage you to get your hands on a copy ASAP!!!
