Review: Pilaten Blackhead Remover Mask
I was over the moon when I received my little :Bag of Beauty Secrets" from Rubybox containing the Pilaten Blackhead Remover mask.
I have seen a lot of people raving about this mask online, but I just couldn't get my hands on it until now, so last night I decided to give it a go.
There is a few DO's and DONT's that you need to take into account when applying the mask:
Do:
1. Heat or steam your face to open up your pores.
2. Apply the mask evenly over the affected areas (I decided to do the whole face)
3. Allow about 10 to 15 minutes for the mask to dry (The mask does make your skin feel really tight as it dries)
4. Once the mask is dry, you can start peeling it off, starting from your chin and pulling the mask up
5. Apply your favorite moisturiser.
Dont:
1. Do not rub your face dry with a towel, rather pat it dry as rubbing might close up your pores again.
2. Avoid your eyes, mouth and eyebrows. (The mask does sting your eyes if you apply it to closely like I did.)
3. I repeat: AVOID YOUR EYEBROWS!! The mask might pull out some, if not all, of your eyebrows when you start peeling it off.
(I know I don't look to happy, but at this stage the mask was starting to tighten and I could muster a smile!)
I now understand why everybody was raving about this mask, It really is fantastic. Not only does it remove the blackheads, but it leaves your
skin feeling soft. (It removes impurities from your skin as well.)
This is what my skin looked like this morning with a touch of make up:
